Patriots - Colts: Inactives and Injury Impact

Early Game sinactives and the impact their absence will have on the game. New England continues to fight adversity with their injury list.

Monday Night Inactives:

QB Matt Cassel
WR Andre' Davis
RB Kevin Faulk
DL Dan Klecko
OL Matt Light
RB Patrick Pass
S James Sanders
DL Richard Seymour

DL Vincent "Sweat Pea" Burns
RB Ran Carthon
RB Kory Chapman
DB Matt Giordano
WR Aaron Morehead
LB Keith O'Neil
DL Josh Thomas
TE Ben Utecht

Injury Impact:

Richard Seymour will miss another week with a nagging knee injury he calls similar to the one he had last year. Ironically Seymour missed the AFC Divisional playoff game against the Indianapolis Colts with that injury. Jarvis Green who filled in for Seymour last year, gets the start tonight.

Patrick Pass and Kevin Faulk are out. RB Mike Cloud and FB Heath Evans, twop players who were signed this week, will get the nod in their place. Head coach Bill Belichick said Evans is a "smart kid" and picking things up quickly. He will take Patrick Pass' spot trying to open holes for Corey Dillon or Mike Cloud whomever is toting the ball.

Matt Light remains sidelined with a broken leg. Nick Kaczur takes his spot for another week. As mentioned in the preview pieces this week, Kaczur will get help from the tight ends to try to slow down Dwight Freeney and the Colts pass rush.

James Sanders wasn't able to get back in game shape in time for tonight, so the Patriots will start thei 5th player at the safety position. Whether it's a mix of players including Don Davis or one of the other DBs look for the Patriots to mix things up at the position.

DL Dan Klecko was deactivated in a surprise move considering the absence of Richard Seymour. Look for more of Marquise Hill and Mike Wright in the rotation.
