Professional athletes rearely understand their impact on those around them, until it's too late. Certainly Terrell Owens will never get it, but one rookie DB who plays for the Patriots does. Ellis Hobbs, a rookie defensive back for the defending Super Bowl champion understands, sometimes a little help is necessary.

Jessica Puglisi, a resident of the Home for Little Wanderers, plays Pop Warner football for the Boston Raiders who have qualified for next week's Pop Warner football playoffs in Orlando, Florida.

The team needs to raise $70,000 to make the trip, and is looking for generous donors to help raise the funds necessary to help them get there.

One influential real estate developer contributed $5,000 recently, and issued a challenge to others with the means to join the effort. Hobbs was one of those enablers, giving the team a "generous donation", according to a UPI report. His donation helped raise the team's total to $48,000.
