Patriots Roster Moves: Add one, release two

FOXBOROUGH - The New England Patriots signed another offensive lineman to their roster today, free agent Ross Tucker. The team also announced the release of two players, running back Michael Cloud and offensive lineman Ryan Krug.


OL Ross Tucker, originally signed by the Washington Redskins in 2001, has spent time with Washington (2001-02), Dallas Cowboys (2002) and the Buffalo Bills (2003-04). The 6'-4" former Princeton Tiger is in his fifth season in the pros, playing mostly as a reserve G/C. He was with Buffalo through their 2005 training camp before being released as part of the final roster cuts on September 4, 2005.


RB Michael Cloud, a free agent out of football, signed with the Patriots this season on November 4, 2005. Cloud has spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs (1999-2002), the New England Patriots (2003), the New York Giants (2004) and again with the Patriots (2005). He played in six games carrying the ball 23 times for 59 yards. He was released on November 29, and re-signed on December 2. The 5'-10" former Boston College running back has played in 77 career games amassing 192 carries for 648 yards and 12 touchdowns.

OL Ryan Krug, originally signed by the Patriots as an undrafted rookie free agent April 29, 2005. The 6'4" former UConn Husky was released as part of the Patriots final roster cuts September 3, 2005. He has been on and off the Patriots practice squad two other times this season.
