"First of all, I would like to thank all of the Colts organization, Mr. Irsay, Mr. Polian, Coach Dungy. Everyone that I have met here has been very, very great to me. For me, obviously leaving New England is tough in a sense that I had many, many great memories there, but the Indianapolis Colts organization is such a great organization, a winning organization. Everything about them is fantastic, so it made a lot of sense to me, and it was an easy decision at this point to jump on board with the Indianapolis Colts. "
(on if he finds it ironic that he is going to the Patriots' biggest AFC rival over the last few years)
"Well, that was definitely one of the things when I thought about the situation and the opportunities that I had. The Indianapolis Colts are a great team and a great organization, and I knew that the opportunity of continuing to win football games and the possibility of winning championships is at a very high level here, and that was definitely one of the considerations. "
(On if he is looking forward to the trip to New England next season)
"It should be an exciting week. I've had a lot of great memories in New England. The fans there are amazing, and the people there are great. They have been very supportive over the past 10 years. It will be interesting to see how the reaction is later this fall."
(On playing indoors now)
"I don't think it's ever easy. Sure, there are not as many weather conditions, but my expectations are always to go out on the field and do the best that I can and put the ball through the posts and help my team in any way I can, if it's kicking off or if it's kicking field goals or if it's making a tackle or whatever it may be."
