News and notes from around the web. The newswire reports today include information on Adam Vinatieri, Ty Law, Martin Gramatica, Randall Gay and more.

The Newswire has news of Adam Vinatieri's going away party in Boston last night. Vinatieri sat down with the Boston Herald to talk about the decision to move to Indianapolis. In the interview Vinatieri explains that Indianapolis offered him what he felt was fair, and that the opportunity to kick in a Dome was also a draw for him.

The Patriots announced the re-signing of exclusive rights free agent Randall Gay. The Patriots signed Gay as an undrafted rookie free agent out of LSU. He was placed on I/R last season, after suffering a nagging leg injury. The Official Site has an announcement on Gay's deal.

Ty Law has been speaking with the Seahawks among others recently. Law spoke with the Seattle Post Intelligencer to explain how he would be a good fit with the team. Insiders who were in the Chat last night found out more about Law's situation and the Patriots' ongoing involvement with the former New England defender.

Martin Gramatica has big shoes to fill, and he knows it. He's just happy for the opportunity to compete. Jerome Solomon has more on Gramatica's conference call with the media. The rest of the info can be found in the Insider's Lounge.

The Patriots continue to speak with potential draft picks. Whether they're making visits to campus facilities to put a player through a chalk talk session, break down film with him or invite him to Foxboro for a visit, they are busy getting a better look at potential future Patriots. Patriots Insider has been following the private workouts and visits players have with the team. Patriots Insider reported last week that WR/KR Charles Gordon was one of a number of visits the team had scheduled, with more players set to arrive this week.

Again, visitors to the chat room found out about another offensive lineman who had a meeting with team scouts after his pro day. Chat room visitors also learned of another defensive back that will be flying in to Foxborough this week for his second private visit/ workout with the team. Keep up with the latest visits/workouts in the Insider's Lounge.

What is the latest with Corey Dillon? Insiders learned that Dillon's restructuring doesn't mean the veteran running back is guaranteed a roster spot with the team in spite of restructuring his deal. Although Dillon should be fine in 2006, 2007 and beyond may be a different story. For more on Dillon's situation, take a look at today's Free Agency News.
