-- Change is inevitable in the NFL, and the New England Patriots have done their share of changing. Wide receivers David Givens, Tim Dwight, Andre Davis and Bethel Johnson are no longer on the Patriot's roster, while Chad Jackson and Reche Caldwell were added as wide receivers. Running back Laurence Maroney joins starter Corey Dillon in the backfield. Tight end Christian Fauria was lost to free agency with David Thomas and Garrett Mills hoping to make a significant contribution at tight end/fullback. With backup quarterback Doug Flutie retiring, Matt Cassel appears to be in the driver's seat to backup starting quarterback Tom Brady. Patriots Insider predicts there will be a lot of attention on kickers Martin Gramatica and Stephen Gostkowski as they attempt to replace Adam Vinatieri.

-- New England Patriot rookie return specialist Willie Andrews has shown some great speed and agility at their recently held minicamp. According to, the Patriots are looking for a replacement for Tim Dwight lost to free agency. Patriot's head coach Bill Belichick advised Andrews to first make the special teams and then work towards the defensive unit.

-- New acquired New England Patriot defensive tackle Johnathan Sullivan was arrested for the possession of drugs and committing numerous traffic violations according to a report in the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Sullivan was part of a trade by the Patriots that sent wide receiver Bethel Johnson to the Saints.

-- Lesley Visser, a reporter and broadcaster for CBS Sports, will receive the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award. Visser will be the first woman to ever receive this award. Among her many "firsts", Visser was the first woman NFL beat writer for the New England Patriots.

-- Unrestricted free agent quarterback Jay Fiedler was signed to a one-year contract by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

ESPN is reporting that the NY Giants were also interested in Fiedler.
