-- Despite wholesale changes to the AFC East division teams, the New England Patriots are once again favored to repeat as division champs. The Buffalo News is reporting the Patriots still have Tom Brady, the best quarterback in the division and Bill Belichick, the best head coach. During the offseason, the Patriots lost wide receiver David Givens, linebacker Willie McGinest and kicker Adam Vinatieri to free agency and picked up wide receiver Chad Jackson, running back Laurence Maroney and kickers Martin Gramatica and Stephen Gostkowski. The return of injured center Dan Koppen and strong safety Rodney Harrison will bolster the Patriots chances of repeating.
-- New York Jet's starting quarterback Chad Pennington is pleased with the way his rehab of his shoulder is going. Talking with the Star Ledger, Pennington says "Everything's going well, I couldn't be happier with the way things are going."

In Sullivan's Q&A he talks about making the most of his second chance to make a first impression (with the Patriots). It appears his actions speak louder than words.
-- The Chicago Bears have signed another rookie, leaving just two to go before their training camp begins. The Patriots on the other hand have not signed any of their draft picks. Getting rookies signed and in to camp on time allows teams the best possible chance to utilize the same rookies at the beginning of the season. Lengthy holdouts cause players to fall behind when learing the system. Some take an entire season to catch up.
