Patriotsinsider.com has learned free agent TE Rodney Trafford is scheduled to try out for the Patriots on Wednesday. Trafford is seen around the league as an athletic but small tight end.
The 6-foot-3, 250-pound tight end entered the league as an undrafted rookie. The former South Carolina product spent time with the Bills in 2004-05 and was in camp with the St. Louis Rams this season. Trafford has 3 career receptions for 25 yards.

Graham is in the final season of his rookie contract. The former first round pick is expected to draw significant interest on the free agent market. With Watson on the roster, and other teams such as the Carolina Panthers reportedly interested, Graham may be in his final season in a Patriots uniform.
Thomas saw increased playing time opposite Graham when Watson went down. The Rookie is considered a better pass catcher than a blocker, something Watson is known for.
Mills was placed on injured reserve ending his season. He did not see action during the regular season, and will not be available till next season.
With Watson out, Tom Brady will need to find another go to receiver. Watson led all Patriots receivers with 49 receptions for 643 yards and 3 touchdowns. Graham has 17 receptions for 185 yards and 2 touchdowns. Thomas has just 3 receptions for 52 yards in the limited playing time he's had.
