Patriots Draft: Top RB Set For Workout

PatriotsInsider.com has learned that the New England Patriots have stepped up their interest in a certain running back they saw up close and personal recently. New England is one of two teams set to workout this Top 10 running back.

According to Scout.com's Adam Caplan, University of Arizona RB Chris Henry will have a bunch of pre-draft workouts for teams including for the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots.

At the Wildcats Pro Day, the Patriots were one of a number of teams to show interest in the 5-foot-11.5, 230lb running back. Enamored with Henry's combine performance, New England is believed to like the potential Henry would bring to an offense, especially considering their current situation at running back. Corey Dillon was released in early March and will not be coming back to Foxboro, and the health of Laurence Maroney is a concern with news breaking that his shoulder may have a significant injury.

Henry opened some eyes during his NFL Combine workout last month after running a 4.41 40-yard dash despite weighing 230 lbs. He also did other drills well. The feeling is that Henry helped himself so much that he went from being an early second day selection to a second or third-round pick.
