Round 1 No. 28: Marcus McCauley, CB, Fresno State
Round 2 No. 38: David Harris, LB, Michigan

Patriots Third Round Selection: Pick #82 (via mock trade)

Lorenzo Booker, RB Florida State
Ht: 5-10.5 Wt: 191 40: 4.49

Biography: Rotational starter who posted 141/591/4 as a senior while adding 33/420 catching the ball. Led the team in rushing with 552 yards as a junior after posting a career-high 887 yards the prior year.

Pos: Quick, elusive ball handler with potential as a third-down back. Patient, waits for blocks to develop and has a burst through the running lanes. Weaves through traffic, sets defenders up and makes them miss. Immediately changes direction, losing little speed. Solid receiver out of the backfield who makes the reception away from his frame.

Neg: Not a strong ball carrier who picks up yardage off initial contact. Never asked to carry the load at Florida State.

Patriots Third Round Selection: Pick #91

Josh Gattis, S, Wake Forest
Ht: 6-1 Wt: 206 40: 4.56

Biography: Three-year starter and All-Conference selection the past two years. Senior totals were 82/5/8 after 72/5/7 as a junior, when he led the conference with 15 special-teams tackles.

Pos: Productive safety with enticing measurables. Displays good recognition and quickly locates the ball. Possesses a burst of straight-line speed, takes good angles to the play and shows a nice sense of timing. Aggressive in run defense, yet disciplined with assignments.

Neg: Not a sure-handed tackler. Lacks sideline-to-sideline range and is consistently a half-step late in coverage. Struggles in man-on-man situations.
