Quick Hits: Bissinger Weighs In On Camp

Patriots Insider John Ingoldsby caught up with University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB) linebacker Kyle Bissinger at minicamp on Sunday. Bissinger shared his thoughts on his first impressions of camp, what it takes to be ready for June camp with the veterans, joining the Patriots and more.

(On first impressions of mini camp)
Kyle Bissinger: "They sent me the training that we have been doing the past two weeks, and yesterday was hard only because everybody was kind of nervous and had the jitters, and when you are going into an environment like that you have a high intensity level. I am in pretty good shape right now, and have been training real hard since the Pro Day and the Combine."

(On being ready for veterans mini camp in June)
KB: "These veterans are amazing out here, so hopefully when they get here I will be in good enough shape to at least stick with them."

(On taking what he learns in classroom onto practice field)
KB: "It's a tough transition, but I think that is what a lot of the coaches are looking for, how well you can take what you learned and apply out on the field. Everybody should just take one day at a time, take what they learned, and show what they got and just be a player."

(On coming to New England as a linebacker)
KB: "I am looking forward to being a linebacker and coming to New England, which is just filled with veteran linebackers, and just having a great experience with any of these guys. Vrabel is the one guy that strikes my attention because he is an outside linebacker like I play. But all these guys are just incredible and I am really looking forward to playing with them. I have always loved the Patriots, and I think it is a great organization and I am just happy to be a part of it."
