Miller, 37, joined the Patriots as a free agent in 2004. In three seasons with New England, the 6-foot-4, 225-pound punter managed 175 punts for 7,682 yards, including 53 punts downed inside the 20. The left-footed kicker appeared in just ten games for the Patriots in 2006, finishing the season on injured reserve. Miller averaged 43 yards per kick on 43 punts with 12 kicks downed inside the 20.

Barthelmes, 24, is a second-year offensive lineman who spent last season on the team's practice squad. Originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia on May 8, 2006, Barthelmes played in NFL Europa for the Amsterdam Admirals in 2007. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound Ohio native had no regular season appearances for New England.
Patrick, 22, was acquired off waivers from the New York Giants. Patrick declared for the 2007 NFL Supplemental Draft, but was not selected. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Nebraska product was signed as a free agent by New York on July 18, 2007. He appeared in last week's preseason game against the Panthers.
