Saturday's updated Injury Report.
Probable: QB Tom Brady (shoulder) (LP)
Out: QB Donovan McNabb, S Quintin Mickell (DNP)
Doubtful: OT William Thomas (DNP)
The Patriots listed DL Jarvis Green (Ankle) and LB Adalius Thomas (team decision) as missing practice on Wednesday. They practiced on Thurs, and Fri. With both off the injury list there shouldn't be any issue with the Patriots needing to substitute players on Sunday.
OG Stephen Neal was on the injury report Wednesday still nursing the shoulder injury that kept him last week against the Bills. With Neal on the sideline, the Patriots used a combination of Russ Hochstein and Billy Yates to steamroll over Buffalo. Although the Patriots didn't run exceptionally well to either the right side (Neal's position) or the left side, they still managed to rack up 127 yards on the ground, right around their average of 119 per game. With Neal in the lineup the Patriots should be able to get some better movement on the line if the team opts to do sweeps or pulling style blocks.
The injury to Brady has been an ongoing issue for years. While it hasn't' kept Brady out of the lineup, it is legitimate enough to allow the Patriots to keep listing their leader on the injury report.
The biggest name on the injury report is Donovan McNabb who will not dress for the game. McNabb's comments earlier this season regarding spygate were certainly used as bulletin board material to motivate the Patriots. Although New England claims to not use that as motivation, you can bet they're going to punish McNabb's teammates for those comments if the opportunity presents itself. More surprisingly, McNabb isn't as beloved in Philly as he once was. His attempt to stir up the controversy on the Patriots only adds to the noise level of those calling for his ouster in Philly.
The Eagles would severely miss Brian Dawkins if he cannot go. Although he missed some practice time this week, he's expected to play.
