Adam Calpan of Scout.com reports that the deal signed by Patriots fourth round
pick Jonathan Wilhite is a four-year deal with
minimum base salaries of: (08) $295,000 (09) $385,000 (10) $470,000 (11) $555,000.
Wilhite also received a signing bonus of around $405,500.
The move to sign Wilhite comes after the team has already agreed to terms with fifth round pick Matt Slater, a wide receiver / defensive back out of UCLA and Nebraska linebacker Bo Ruud.
According to Caplan, Slater received a four-year deal with a signing bonus of $175,000 and minimum salaries of (08) $295,000 (09) $385,000 (10) $470,000 (11) $555,000.
Ruud received a similar deal in base salaries to Slater and Wilhite, but with
a signing bonus of approximately $84,000.
