BenJarvus Green-Ellis Off PUP

FOXBOROUGH -- The New England Patriots announced the return of rookie running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis to the active roster from the PUP list on Friday.

Rookie running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis returned to the active roster one day after being placed on the PUP list. The 5-foot-11, 215-pound Ole Miss product was back at practice on Friday, participating in all drills according to a team insider.

Green-Ellis was signed by the Patriots as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 2, 2008. The talented running back totaled nearly 4000 yards in college including 25 touchdowns. After attending the University of Indiana (2003-04) Green-Ellis transferred to Mississippi. After sitting out a year, he resumed his collegiate career playing for the Rebels for two more seasons (2006-07).
