Raiders elevate Bojay Filimoeatu

The Raiders made a roster move the day before their home opener, elevating linebacker Bojay Filimoeatu to the active roster.

Filimoeatu was on the practice squad after being waived by the team for the mandatory roster cut downs.

The 6-foot-2, 250-pound linebacker originally signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent in May.

Filimoeatu started all 26 games during his two-year collegiate career at Utah State, accumulating 112 tackles, eight sacks, one interception, two passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

Adding Filimoeatu gives the team insurance with starting middle linebacker Nick Roach listed as questionable as he continues to recover from concussion he suffered in the third preseason game.
