With week six having passed, second-year cornerback D.J. Hayden was eligible to return to the practice field for the first time since being placed on the physically unable to perform list prior to the start of the season.
The Raiders now have 21 days to decide whether or not to place him on the active roster, or to put him on season-ending injured reserve.
Should they find him fit enough to play, he could even return to the team’s roster this weekend against the Cardinals.
The original plan heading into the offseason workout program was to have Hayden start opposite of Tarell Brown, with Carlos Rogers in the slot. It still remains to be seen if that will be the case if Hayden is activated.
No matter what, it's good to see the Raiders' 2013 first-round pick back on the field and practicing.
