Raiders activate DJ Hayden

The Oakland Raiders will get some much-needed help in the secondary when they take on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie announced Saturday that second-year cornerback D.J. Hayden has been activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Hayden appeared in eight games, making two starts, as a rookie in 2013, totaling 29 tackles (23 solo), one interception, two passes defensed and one forced fumble. He was the Raiders’ first-round pick (12th overall) in the 2013 NFL Draft.

The Raiders also announced that they have signed linebacker Denico Autry to the active roster from the practice squad.

Autry was originally signed by the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State in May 2014. Autry appeared in 26 games with 23 starts as a Bulldog, posting 73 tackles, six sacks and three forced fumbles.

In order to make room for Hayden and Autry, the Raiders placed linebacker LaMarr Woodley and safety Usama Young on IR.
