Reports: Raiders sign OL Barnes to extension

According to CSN Bay Area's Scott Bair and ESPN's Field Yates, the Raiders and offensive lineman Khalif Barnes have agreed to a contract extension.

Both Bair and Yates tweeted that Barnes has signed a one-year extension to remain with the Silver & Black as he was set to become a free agent after this season, when his current one-year contract was set to expire.

Barnes adds a nice veteran presence to the offensive line and is certainly a lineman with experience up and down the line. He has lined up at both tackle positions, along with at left guard during his six years with the Raiders. Barnes will be getting the start at left guard again this week with rookie left guard Gabe Jackson out with a knee injury.

Details of the new contract have not yet been released.
