Raiders announce reserve/future contracts

Despite not having a head coach currently, general manager Reggie McKenzie announced the signing of nine players to reserve/future contracts.

The Raiders signed the following players on Tuesday: RB Terrance Cobb, WR Jeremy Gallon, LB Justin Jackson, DB Vernon Kearnery, T Dan Kistler, G Lamar Mady, WR Seth Roberts, DT Kona Schwenke, CB Jansen Watson.

Cobb originally signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in may of 2014, before being waived at the end of training camp. He played four seasons at Cumberland, setting a school record for rushing yards in a game (327), season (1,991) and career (4,414). His accolades helped him become the first player for Cumberland to sign an NFL contract.

Gallon was drafted by the New England Patriots in the seventh round (244th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft. Appeared in 51 games over four seasons at Michigan, totaling 173 receptions for 2,704 yards and 17 touchdowns. He holds the school record for receiving yards in a single season (1,373 yards).

Schwenke was originally signed by the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in May 2014 and was on their practice squad last year, along with the Patriots and Jets. He played four years at Notre Dame, seeing action in 31 games with 30 tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery.
