Mike Shanahan enters coaching discussion

The Oakland Raiders have continued to show that no available head coach is off the list in their search to fill their vacancy.

In a bit of a surprising turn, the Raiders interviewed former Raiders head coach Mike Shanahan, according to multiple reports.

The vacancy could be intriguing for the 62-year-old coach given it is the place he began his head-coaching career.

The relationship between the Raiders and Shanahan ended ugly with a power struggle between him and legendary owner Al Davis, but it appears the 20+ years was enough for Shanahan to forgive at least enough to interview.

Shanahan has drawn interest from other teams, including the San Francisco 49er’s, Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.
