This is what Brad Wilbricht of Cardinals Football Talk had to say about Williams.
“Williams is a prototypical anchor at nose tackle in a 3-4 defense. He specializes in run defense, taking up space upfront and allowing linebackers to roam free to make tackles. Williams isn't much of a threat to rush the passer and is fairly one-dimensional in that regard.”
As he has been in a 3-4 defense in Arizona, Wilbricht chimed in on how he will adjust to a 4-3.
“Williams is versatile enough to play in a 4-3 defense, although it isn't his best fit. Former Cardinals defensive coordinator, Todd Bowles, utilized both 3-4 and 4-3 defensive fronts a year ago with Williams playing and nose tackle and defensive tackle accordingly.”
