"The Panthers released him at the start of the season but brought him back halfway through last season when the team was having injury issues at cornerback and released veteran Charles Godfrey. There was only one game that he saw meaningful time at cornerback (playing more than 50% of the snaps). He spent the majority of his time on special teams."
"The biggest positive with Dockery is that he is tall (6'1") and still young (26 years of age). He hasn't really had much chance to prove he can play the cornerback position with the Panthers but he certainly has potential to grow into the position. It is a good signing for a player who has good upside but it wouldn't surprise me either if he was cut during training camp."
