Raiders draft pass rusher in the sixth round

The Oakland Raiders found another pass rusher by taking defensive end Max Valles in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Valles led the University of Virginia team with 9.0 sacks in 2014 en route to being named third-team All-ACC.

Valles had two years left when he declared for the draft, so he is still learning the game and has a lot of room for development.

He has a long frame and can add some weight. He keeps his pads low, which allows him to get around the blocker.

Valles relies on his athleticism and physical tools as opposed to technique, which Jack Del Rio and Ken Norton, Jr. will surely help him with.

Though Valles played outside linebacker at Virginia, the Raiders have already confirmed that they drafted him to play defensive end.
