Carson stadium won't have Al's Flame

It appears the Raiders will be missing a piece of their history if the Carson, Calif. stadium design moves forward as it is right now.

As it currently is designed, it appears the joint stadium between the Raiders and Chargers will not have the flame that burns in honor of iconic owner Al Davis.

Daniel Kaplan of SportsBusiness Journal says that Mark Davis agreed to remove the tribute.

It seems as if the rest of the NFL was not on board with the flame moving its way down south as it commemorated a man who was often not the most well-liked by his peers, nor the league.

While it may not be liked by Raider Nation, it may have been necessary for Davis to do if he wants to move forward with the Carson, Calif. project.
