Goodell talks Oakland stadium situation

The stadium situation in Oakland continues to be a depressing situation for local Raiders fans, and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell agrees.

The commissioner spoke in between the NFL owners meetings in San Francisco and called out the city of Oakland for not having a finalized plan. Prior to that, he did say he has seen significant progress in Los Angeles, St. Louis and San Diego.

“Oakland, I have not heard directly from. So, I do not know, I do not have an update on that,” Goodell said according to multiple media outlets. “It’s something that we have not seen anything to my knowledge of a specific proposal.”

Owner Mark Davis has long said that he wants to remain in Oakland, but it doesn’t appear the feelings are mutual enough for the city and Alameda County to have submitted any formal report.

Hopefully the city can get something together quickly, but they technically have until June 21 to submit something to the league office.
