Position Battle: Right Guard

The Raiders signed former Jets offensive lineman Austin Howard last offseason hoping he would help shore up the offensive line and the right guard position.

Unfortunately, that didn’t happen and the veteran offensive lineman was moved back to the tackle position by the end of the year, leaving the team with a whole at the spot once again.

The team has veteran Khalif Barnes and signed J’Marcus Webb in the offseason who was seen taking first-team reps during Organized Team Activities in June. They also drafted offensive lineman Jon Feliciano, who could also develop into a strong guard in the NFL.

This will be one of the more highly-contested position battles in camp, and we’ll have to keep an eye on it as it progresses.
