Amari Cooper drawing more praise

Less than a week after drawing praise from Hall of Famer and Raiders great Tim Brown, rookie wide receiver Amari Cooper is garnering some strong words from what may be an even stronger voice.

Cooper is now garnering compliments from the G.O.A.T. himself, Mr. Jerry Rice.

"They have their new Tim Brown," Rice told the Raiders' web site, via CSN California. "I think with Cooper, he's very much like Tim Brown. Very explosive, got speed to burn."

That’s quite the compliment coming from a guy who played along Brown, while recording his own numbers good enough to be widely recognized as the greatest of all time.

Brown, who Cooper is being compared to, played in 17 NFL seasons en route to finishing 6th on the NFL’s all-time receiving yards list.

Time will tell just how great Cooper can be, but there’s no doubt that the expectations are high for the young wide receiver. He’s looked good during the offseason, and now will have a chance to prove himself in training camp starting on Friday.
