The Oakland Raiders returned to practice after another off day, this time with another body back in practice coming off practice.
Rookie tight end Clive Walford returned to the field to see his first practice action.
Walford entered camp after a solid offseason workout where he displayed his receiving ability finding a nice connection with the quarterbacks.
The young tight end showed the other side of his game on Friday leading the way on a couple of nice blocks. On one play, Walford pulled like a guard and led the way for a big run by Latavius Murray.
Walford said he wanted to come back to the field sooner, but the coaching staff told him it was more important to get healthy for the regular season. Head coach Jack Del Rio said he didn’t want his young player to “yo-yo” by going off and on the injury list.
