Richardson was guaranteed $600k in his deal with the Raiders. He rushed for 42 yards on 15 carries for the Raiders this preseason.

The release comes a day before the team must get down to 75 men. The next cut comes when the team drops down to 53 men, on Saturday.

The move is a good sign for rookie running back Michael Dyer who has shown flashes this offseason.
