Report: WR Kenbrell Thompkins among those cut

The Oakland Raiders have reportedly released wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins, according to Pro Football Talk.

Shortly after reports surfaced of the Raiders releasing veteran running back Trent Richardson, Pro Football Talk reported that the team will also be releasing wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins.

Thompkins joined the Raiders mid-year last year after Rod Streater went down with an injury but found himself in a suddenly crowded wide receiving corps.

The cut is a good sign for fellow wide receivers, such as Brice Butler, who continued his strong offseason with another good game against the Cardinals on Sunday night.
