The Oakland Raiders announced Tuesday that they have signed free agents safety Taylor Mays and defensive lineman C.J. Wilson.
Mays was with the Raiders briefly during preseason and is currently in his sixth NFL season after being a standout at USC. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound safety has 72 tackles, four passes defensed, one sack, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in 66 games.
Wilson was also previously with the Raiders, spending last year in the Silver & Black. He played in all 16 games last season (seven starts) but was released by the Raiders at the end of preseason this year as well.
To make room for the two, the Raiders waived tight end Gabe Holmes and places safety Nate Allen on the Reserve/Injured - Designated For Return list.
