Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr cleared to play against the Baltimore Ravens

The Oakland Raiders will get a key offensive piece back as they look for their first win against the Baltimore Ravens.

Starting quarterback Derek Carr has been cleared to play, according to league sources.

Carr had been questionable for the game after leaving last week's game against the Cincinnati Bengals in the second quarter with a hand injury. He would not return as backup Matt McGloin would finish the game for him.

Carr's x-rays and MRI would come back negative though, as the second-year quarterback returned to practice as a full partiicpant on Wednesday. After participating all week without any limitations, the Raiders officially listed him as "probable" on Friday's injury report.
