The Oakland Raiders announced on Tuesday claimed cornerback David Amerson via waivers from the Washington Redskins.
Amerson was originally drafted by the Redskins in the second round (51st overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder played in 33 games over three seasons with Washington, racking up 110 tackles, two interceptions and 17 passes defensed. This includes 15 starts last year, totaling a career-high 61 tackles.
In order to make room for him, the Raiders waived safety Tevin McDonald.
In addition, the Raiders signed running back Rajion Neal to the practice squad and released running back George Atkinsons III.
