Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith recorded his first sack while donning the Silver & Black

Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith recorded his first sack while donning the Silver & Black when he sacked Jay Cutler.

It was a tough loss for the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, but there were certainly some positives that the team can look back on and one of them was linebacker Aldon Smith.

Smith was signed by the Oakland Raiders late in the offseason and was brought to help the Raiders with their pass rush. While he has provided pressure on opposing quarterbacks, the veteran did not have a sack on his stat line heading into Chicago.

Smith changed that in the second quarter when he got to veteran quarterback Jay Cutler to help end the half.

Smith finished the game with six tackles and one sack.

He and Khalil Mack will have more chances for sacks next week as the Raiders host the Denver Broncos.
