The Oakland Raiders took to the field on Sunday to take on the New York Jets, but first they took the time to honor an American hero.
With the cheerleaders behind him, the Raiders and the crowd at O.Co Coliseum welcomed out Anthony Sadler - one of the three men from Sacramento, Calif. that foiled the attempted terror attack on a French train in August.
The three Sacramento natives were on vacation and traveling through France when a gunman attempted an attack on the French train enroute to Paris. The 23-year-old college student and his two friends - off-duty U.S. military servicemen - had the bravery to tackle the gunman and subdue him.
It was a touching moment for those in attendance as the Raiders acknowledged an American hero who did something much more important than a play on the gridiron.
