Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie took the first in retaining his backup quarterback Matt McGloin who is entering the offseason as a restricted free agent.
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Raiders have placed a second-round tender on the Raiders' backup, who has experience starting for the Silver & Black.
The tender means that he will earn $2.5 million for next season. Other teams can still try and sign him, but the Raiders will have a chance to match the offer. If they Raiders do not match, the other team will lose their second round pick.
