The Oakland Raiders have released linebacker Curtis Lofton

The Oakland Raiders revamping of their roster continued on Friday, this time with the release of one of last year's starters. 

The club announced Friday they released veteran linebacker Curtis Lofton. 

Lofton joined the Raiders last offseason and played in 16 games for the Raiders in 2015, totaling 80 tackles (53 solo), one sack and one fumble recovery. Over eight seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and Raiders, Lofton has played in 128 games with 120 starts.
