The Oakland Raiders stayed busy Monday night through Tuesday morning, this time keeping one of their own.
NFL Media's Ian Rapoport is reporting that the team has agreed to a new contract with wide receiver Andre Holmes.
The big wide receiver joined the Raiders in 2013 after bouncing around the Vikings, Cowboys and Patriots after going undrafted out of Hillsdale College.
He had a breakout season in 2014, hauling in 47 passes for 693 yards and four touchdowns. He then saw his playing time diminished last season as the Raiders wide receiving corps became much stronger with the additions of Michael Crabtree and rookie standout Amari Cooper. He had just 14 receptions for 201 yards.
Multiple teams were reportedly interested in the big pass-catcher, but it looks like Oakland will be his home for at least one more year. Keeping Holmes around adds some nice depth at the position, with a player that already knows Bill Musgrave's offense.
