Scouting Report: The Oakland Raiders have two large run-stopping defensive tackles in Justin "Jelly" Ellis and Dan Williams, but they could use some athleticism inside at the defensive tackle position as they struggled to apply pressure up the middle.

Rankins would present problems for blockers, while also freeing up Raiders pass rushers such as Khalil Mack, Bruce Irvin and Aldon Smith. His ability to start as a five-technique or three-technique makes him a fit in any system.

He's got great instincts to beat the blockers while also the speed and explosiveness to diagnose and run down screens. There's certainly a chance Rankins won't be available, but he may be too good to pass up if he is.
