Raiders add offensive line depth

The Oakland Raiders added some offensive line depth to their roster on Wednesday by adding guard Denver Kirkland to the roster.

Kirkland was originally signed by the Raiders as an undrafted free agent in May 2016 and eventually made it to the practice squad.

The 6-foot-4, 335-pound offensive lineman played three years at Arkansas, appearing in 38 games (34 starts) while being named to the All-SEC Third Team as a junior in 2014.

The Raiders also announced that they signed linebacker Darnell Sankey to the practice squad.

Sankey originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos in 2016, signing with the team in July. He was with the team during training camp before be waived on Aug. 29. The 6-2, 250-pounder played collegiately at Sacramento State, where he led the Big Sky Conference and finished second in the FCS with 153 tackles last season. He also had nine tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.
