The Oakland Raiders set a record in their Sunday game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but it wasn't the type of record they want to be associated with.
Head coach Jack Del Rio saw his team set an NFL record with 23 penalties, breaking the previous record of 22 which was held by three previous teams.
The penalties amounted to 200 total yards against the Raiders, also a franchise record. Despite all of the penalties, the Raiders were able to come out victorious and beat the Bucs 30-24 to remain undefeated on the road for the season.
Del Rio and the coaching staff will have to clean up the penalties if they want to keep winning, as penalties can be costly to a team as was almost proven on Sunday in Tampa Bay.
