The Oakland Raiders announced on Tuesday that they have released 29-year-old defensive tackle Dan Williams.
Williams appeared in 32 games over his two years with the team, starting 26 of them and recording 1.5 sacks. Williams struggled last year after a good first season in 2015.
The veteran defensive tackle was due $4.5 million this year with no money guaranteed, meaning the team will now save that money against the cap.
With the latest cut to the team's defensive line, the defensive tackle position remains a likely target in next week's NFL Draft.
