Robbins faces surgery Tuesday

Long-snapper Treu will take over for now

Silver and Black Illustrated has learned that Raiders center Barret Robbins will undergo surgery Tuesday to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament and an injured medial collateral ligament injured in Oakland's loss to Miami. Robbins is all but certain to be lost for the season following the surgery, leaving the Raiders with only long-snapper Adam Treu as the team's only other center. If Robbins is placed on the injured reserve list, Oakland will likely bring in another center for a tryout if nothing else. The Raiders also have the option of moving Steve Wisniewski to center and then start Frank Middleton in Wisniewski's left guard position.
