Green accepts Cardinals position

So much for the Oakland Raiders having a Green feel on their sidelines – as in Dennis Green.

Green interviewed for the Raiders and Washington Redskins vacancies earlier this week after interviewing for the Arizona Cardinals vacancy. Green accepted the latter of the two spots after Arizona fired Dave McGinnis the Sunday after the season finale. Green, who had been out of coaching for two seasons, signed a five-year deal but the Cardinals did not release the details of the contract.

The Raiders, meanwhile, are scheduled to interview two assistant coaches from across the Bay. Oakland has received permission to interview Jim Mora, the 49ers defensive coordinator, along with Greg Knapp, San Francisco's offensive coordinator. Dallas assistant coaches Maurice Carthon and Sean Payton are also rumored candidates. Mora has also interviewed for the Atlanta Falcons head coaching job.

As for Oakland's former head coach, Bill Callahan, he flew to Lincoln, NE, Wednesday and interviewed for the Cornhuskers opening. Callahan is also a rumored candidate of newly hired New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin for an offensive coordinator position.
