New home on the radio dial

The Oakland Raiders will have a new home on the radio dial for the 2004 season, the question is where, according to Saturday's San Francisco Chronicle.

KTCT (1050) AM, which has been the Raiders flagship station for the previous seven seasons, opted not to renew its contract.

There is no definitive word on the new flagship station but KSFO is rumored to be one of them.

The Raiders expect to reach a deal, however, within the next week or so. KTCT and KNBR senior vice president Tony Salvadore explained the decision as "economic."

KTCT will instead broadcast syndicated NFL games.

There is no guarantee that Greg Papa, who is the Raiders play-by-play voice, will return but Salvadore said it is highly likely that he will.
