Scouting two Oakland undrafted signees

The Oakland Raiders picked up another wide receiver in undrafted free agency and added an offensive lineman with experience at tackle and guard.

Full Name: Jabari Levey School: South Carolina Pos: T

Ht: 6-5 Wt: 310 40: 5.34 Year: 4Sr

Bio: Two-year starter at left tackle who saw limited action as a sophomore at guard.

Pos: Nice-sized offensive lineman with the skills needed to play at the next level. Possesses long arms, big hands and keeps defenders away from the action. Patient, effective as a position blocker and explodes off the line. Naturally strong and drives opponents from the line.

Neg: Not a natural knee-bender and lacks adjustment. Exploited by quick opponents and does not make good use of blocking angles.

Analysis: Flashing abilities in the past, Levey comes off a poor senior campaign. Considered a player who needs to be pushed, he must immediately pick up the intensity to have any chance at the next level.

Full Name: John Madsen School: Utah Pos: WR

Ht: 6-4.5 Wt: 220 40: 4.59 Year: 5Sr

Bio: Two-year starter who totaled 55/672/6 as a senior after 27/377/5 during his junior campaign.

Pos: King-sized wideout with solid computer numbers. Effectively uses his frame to shield away opponents and catches the pass from his frame. Strong running after the catch, breaking tackles then picking up positive yardage. Offers the quarterback a nice target and consistently makes the reception away from his frame.

Neg: Cannot run to the long ball. Slow coming out of breaks and not sharp running routes.

Analysis: A consistent wideout who has shown progress the past two years, Madsen is a solid late-round choice who will make an enticing red-zone target.
