Rice is usually served a la carte, but when it comes to production, the Oakland Raiders' JERRY RICE is a full-course meal – make that a buffet table and sundae bar. Holder of 14 NFL records and 10 Super Bowl records, a 12-time Pro Bowl selection and member of the NFL's 75th Anniversary Team, Rice, 39, is still a force that can make the most confident cornerback sweat.

Head coach BILL CALLAHAN believes his 18-year veteran continues to set the standard for receivers. "Jerry Rice is such a magnificent wide receiver," says Callahan. "When he engages you in a bump and run and he has you on his hip, he has the ability to get up the field and as the defensive back is behind him, he has the ability to juke them and separate in a way. He probably has the best ability to do that than anybody else in the game."

Records Rice is chasing in 2002:

4 touchdowns First player with 2000

787 all-purpose yards First place (chasing Walter Payton who retired with 21,803)

254 scrimmage yards First place (chasing Walter Payton who retired with 21,264)

36 receptions First player with 1,400

Reception in first 9 games First with a catch in 250 consecutive games

614 receiving yards First player with 21,000

A wide receiver tandem like Rice and TIM BROWN does not come along every autumn. Brown, a mainstay of receiving excellence with nine Pro Bowl honors, holds Raiders' all-time records in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.:
