Notes From Under Armour All America Game

Inside find out the latest notes, tidbits, photos, and scoop about the players and coaches from the Palmetto State participating in this coming Saturday's Under Armour All America Game. To this point Mr. Daquan Bowers (pictured) has been unstoppable so far. is out in full force for the practices leading up to this Saturday's Under Armour All-America Game. The state of South Carolina is well represented as DaQuan Bowers, Charles Whitlock, Andre Ellington, and A.J. Green are all participating. There are also some great South Carolina coaches helping out as well.

DE Daquan Bowers (Team Silver)
Offensive linemen are finding out early and often that you don't want Daquan lining up across from you. He's been dominating practices thus far and that's nothing new for those of us who had the chance to watch him in person here in the Palmetto State. What makes Daquan so scary is the fact that he's dominating the very best the nation has to offer with great frequency. analyst Brandon Huffman likens Daquan closely to current Southern Cal freshman DE Everson Griffen. Many feel Griffen may have been the most dynamic DE to come out of high school in the past decade. Great company to be held in if you ask us. Daquan has seen not only double teams already but triple teams in efforts to slow him down. Apparently it's not working as it has been a sack party for him in practices each morning and afternoon. So far he's been the most dominant defensive player for either team so far.

DB Charles Whitlock (Team Red)
Charles has been one of the top players many of the squad has been raving about thus far. His instincts and ability to break on the ball are on display for all to see at this point. His coverage on wideouts has been absolutely great according to our sources. One analyst had this to say about Whitlock, "He has played very tight coverage and has been step for step with all the receivers." Tuesday the Red Offense was only able to complete 3 passes for positive yards out of 15 passing plays against Whitlock and his teammates during a scrimmage. Can you say lockdown?

WR A.J. Green (Team Silver)
A.J. Green is taking things in stride and making plays as he always has during his career. He impressed early on making a simple crossing pattern into a long touchdown catch and run. On Tuesday he hooked up for another long touchdown catch beating his defender handily. A.J. has helped his stock with a strong showing thus far and appears to be one of the key targets for the Silver offense come Saturday due to that playmaking ability. National analyst Jamie Newberg says, "Green is a big play waiting to happen."

RB Andre Ellington (Team Silver)
Andre has had a solid start to practice so far. He's impressed with his ability to find the hole and burst once he recognizes it. So far he's been able to break a few 20+ yard runs and Clemson fans should be thanking their lucky stars they were able to secure and keep his commit from the looks of things early on. The Tigers are also recruiting Ellington's Silver teammate RB Jamie Harper extremely hard as well. Could there be a second coming of the James Davis & C.J. Spiller duo possibly in Death Valley?
