The Oakland Raiders announced on Thursday that they have signed top draft pick, linebacker Rolando McClain.
The news was first announced a minute before minute on the team's official Twitter account. Later on, the team also made the news known on their official website.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, McClain, the eight overall pick, signed a five-year deal worth $40 million, including $23 million guaranteed. Last year, the Raiders gave wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey, the seventh overall pick in the draft, $38 million over 5 years including $23.5 in guaranteed money.
The Raiders have now signed all of their draft picks for this year. The team officially starts training camp activities today in Napa, as the team will start with a walk-through practice at 8:30 a.m. and another at 4:20 p.m.
